About Audio Training

APAI Chairs' Meeting

The APAI is the recognized voice for the highest professional standards of responsible parole practices. We will demonstrate through embracing APAI's established values that the parole process of the criminal justice system is an essential element for making our society a safer, better place to live.

Who may attend?

This meeting is designed for and open to Chairs or Heads of any appointed Parole Board or Releasing Authority. If unable to attend, Chairs and Executive Officers of such entities may designate their Vice Chairs or Executive Officers to attend in their place, subject to approval by APAI’s Executive Committee. Representation is limited to one Chair or Executive Officer per state or commonwealth in the United States. Countries outside of the United States may send two representatives, following the guidelines listed above. While membership in APAI is not a requirement to attend this meeting, we strongly urge all participants to encourage their respective Boards or Paroling Authorities to join. What topics will be covered?

This meeting has a history of covering topics that are current and relevant to Parole Boards and Releasing Authorities at the time of the meeting. Issues are solicited from those attending. This is a unique opportunity for leaders in the field to discuss issues with peers.
